本術式は手術時間も1時間前後で侵襲が少ないため術中、術後の全身状態は比較的良好である。今回の症例に関しても周術期に全身状態が悪化し重篤にいたった症例はなかった。HA逸脱を椎体側方に23椎体、前方に6椎体認め、再手術例は側方3椎体（13.0％）、前方3椎体（50.0％）認めた。前方への逸脱はいずれも軽度であったが、半数が再手術例という結果となり注意が必要である。HAは他の椎体内充填材料と比較し、椎体外への漏出による肺塞栓発症や重篤な神経障害などの危険が少ない。今回最終の椎体楔状率が50%未満の症例は9例（12.8％）であったが、再手術施行例は2例であり、必ずしも再手術を必要とはしなかった。本方法により短期間での除痛、早期の離床、歩行が得られ、かつ受傷もしくは腰痛増強前のADLとほぼ同じ状態での早期退院が可能であった。

Since this operative procedure takes approximately one hour with less invasiveness,
the intraoperative and postoperative general conditions are relatively
well. Also in these cases, no patient had worsening of perioperative general
condition leading to a serious outcome. HA was protruded laterally in 23
vertebral bodies, forward in 6 vertebral bodies, and reoperation was conducted
in 3 vertebral bodies (13.0%) of lateral side cases and in 3 vertebral
bodies (50.0%) of front side cases. Although all protrusions to front side
were mild, half of them underwent reoperation, and we therefore should
pay attention. Compared to other fillers for vertebral body, HA has smaller
risk such as pulmonary embolism by leakage and severe neurologic injury.
In this study, 9 cases (12.8%) showed the final wedge deformation ratio
of vertebral body of 50% or less, but 2 cases of them underwent reoperation
and not all of cases required reoperation. This method allowed short-term
pain relief, early rising and walking, and early hospital discharge in
approximately the same condition as ADL before the injury or increased
lower back pain.
