本学のグローバル・ビジネスプログラムは、「基盤教育科目」、「専門基礎科目」、「専門核科目」、「専門応用科目」の4分野で構成されており、学生は段階を踏んで学習を進めることとなっている。学生はまず始めに、基盤教育の3つの科目、「ミクロ経済学」、「代数学」、「統計学」を学び、次の段階では、2つの専門基礎科目である「マクロ経済学」、「会計学」を履修する。これを修了すると、「企業財務」、「マーケティング原理」等の10科目の専門核科目を必修科目として、また、「国際ビジネスにおける法環境」、「国際金融」、「マーケティング・リサーチ」など、15の専門応用科目から3科目を選択して履修することとなる。専門核科目と専門応用科目を履修するためには、アメリカの多くの大学と同様に、その前提条件科目を修了しなければならないが、これが日本国内の他大学と異なるところとなっている。また学生は、留学要件を満たした上で1年間、本学の提携校のひとつで専門核科目及び専門応用科目を履修する。このような体系的な学習を通して、学生はグローバル・ビジネスに関する理論と実践的能力を身につけることができる。

Our Global Business Program consists of 4 fields: Basic Education Course, Advanced Foundation Course, Advanced Core Course and Advanced Applied Course in which students progress their study in stages. First of all, students study 3 Basic Education Courses: Micro-economics, Algebra and Statistics. In the next stage, they take 2 Advanced Foundation Courses: Macro-economics and Accounting. Once the above are completed, the compulsory 10 subjects from the Advanced Core Course such as Industry Finance, Marketing Theory etc are studied along with 3 subjects such as Law Environment in International Business, International Finance, Marketing Research etc. which are chosen from the 15 Advanced Applied Course subjects available. These courses, in much the same way as at many American universities, must be completed as a pre-requisite to taking subjects on the Advance Core and Advanced Applied Courses. This is what makes our system different from that of other Japanese universities. In addition, after having fulfilled the study abroad requirements, students take Advanced Core and Advanced Applied Courses at one of our affiliated universities for one year. Through such systematic learning, students master both the theory and practice of Global Business.
